Crimson Fox Ch: 19

Naruto glared at Kabuto from the dust clouds. He could feel his power surging through his entire body. It was amazing, it almost felt like every cell of his body was charged with so much power that was flowing through him, as if every inch of his very being, his soul, had been super charged with his new found power. All this time, he never knew that he could have this kind of power, to him it had always been something that he thought would have been nothing more than a dream… but now, he could use this power to save everyone… To save Hinata, Kurama and Mei… All the people in this city, he would protect from now on…

Narrowing his glowing red eyes, the young man could see Kabuto through the dust cloud, he just stood there, staring down at what he could make out of his eyes. It was easy to see that he was a little uneasy from the sudden power surge that was flowing around the area. To be honest, Naruto was happy to see the slight unease on the white haired man and now… he was going to use it.

Kabuto glared at Naruto, the young man could feel even more unease as he said “die fox!” and as soon as he had said that, he started to shoot fire balls toward the fox demon. Narrowing his eyes, the young fox demon could see the fire balls heading toward him, though in fact, they almost seemed to have started to slow down for the young man. Was this something for his powers or was this due to even his senses getting super charged? He had no idea, but he wasn’t going to complain about it to be honest.

Lifting his hands one at a time, the young fox demon started to slap the fire balls with ease. It was as if he was just hitting tennis balls instead of fire balls. It was rather amazing that he could do this, and feel no pain. Had it been that he too, had started to gain some kind of immunity to pain because he had given his heart to Hinata? He had no idea but he wasn’t gonna start bitching about it, right now he had to focus on fighting Kabuto and beating him before anything further happened.

Soon, Naruto cleared the dust using his wind abilities to clear the air. As soon as that was done, the young man smirked as he said “that all you got?” He chuckled a little, eyes still glowing a soft red as his pupils had narrowed into slits. His power was still growing though not enough to control or consume him, it was as if his power wanted to help him with this battle. For that, he was thankful and now he was going to use this power to stop Kabuto.

Growling softly, Kabuto narrowed his black eyes on Naruto as if wondering why he wasn’t dead or at least charred to a crisp. Inhaling softly, Naruto stretched his arms, his arms, once broken or dislocated cracked back into place as he chuckled a bit as if he found this whole thing amusing. “Like it Kabuto? I’m a whole new man now to be honest. I didn’t think I could get this kind of power and right now I’m thankful that I never gained it when I was a villain.” He smiled a bit before looking down, closing his eyes before he opened them into a narrowed glare. “Now though… I will use this power to defeat you no matter the cost! If it is my life I’ll pay that price so long as it’s to take you down!”

“As if you could ever take me down fox. You were never able to defeat Night Hawk, and you couldn’t even beat me in our last encounter.” Kabuto began, which, to be honest was true. He’s never defeated Sasuke once when they were growing up and not to mention, had failed to defeat Kabuto. The pain of his arms and his leg came back to his mind where he wanted to rub them to forget the pain. He had kept himself from doing so, not wanting to seem weak in front of his enemy. “What makes you think you can defeat me? After all, I broke your leg and arm, then dislocated your shoulder.” Kabuto pointed out before he tilted his head. “Speaking of which… how are you standing?”

Naruto laughed softly before he started to answer Kabuto’s questions. “Thanks to a little power boost that I got, my bones have mended themselves and went back into place. No matter what kind of injury that you give me, I will just heal right away before another one can be made. All of this power that I have is from years of being sealed away and forgotten by myself…” He laughed a little before adding “now though… I can use this power to kick your ass and no matter what, I will defeat you!”

Kabuto just glared at him, his chest rising and falling rather quickly, it almost made Naruto think that maybe the guy was hyper ventilating from anger or something along those lines. Yet, for now he wasn’t going to complain about the whole thing. It just didn’t seem right to complain about anything, after all the guy was going to be defeated and be taken to jail after this whole ordeal anyway so no matter what no one was going to die… not today.

Soon, Kabuto shot out some lasers from his eyes, causing Naruto to raise his arms to shield himself. The guy was playing dirty. “Get away from me!” shouted Hinata, causing Naruto to move his arms and gasped at what he saw. Kabuto was heading toward the blue haired woman that he had given his heart to. Narrowing his eyes, Naruto shifted into his small fox form. The slim body would give him a little extra speed to catch up to Hinata before anything happened. Running as fast as he could, his legs moving quickly, his body no longer held back in speed by his muscle or body weight.

Hinata screamed and panicked as Kabuto got closer and closer to her. There was no way that he was going to allow her to get hurt by anyone, let alone Kabuto. Once he was close, Naruto stood on his front paws as his body started to transform back into his true self, his back paws turning into his legs as he kicked Kabuto in the head, sending him flying into the air. Glaring at him, he said “you have to learn that the fight is right here Kabuto!” He glared as his hands ignited in flames.

Kabuto flew a bit by the force of Naruto’s kick. How it was possible for just a simple kick to have that much power and strength behind it was beyond Kabuto’s understanding. Yet, at the moment he wasn’t going to complain about it. The only thing he cared about, was to just get this battle over and done with. Naruto though, he could see the conflict within Kabuto, it was as if he was trying to understand what was happening within his mind.

Breathing softly, the young man knew that he would have to be quick with this battle. It was the only way to make sure that nothing happened to Hinata again. Just the thought of it scared him, making him think what could have happened if he hadn’t arrived had the young man scared for her life and safety. Inhaling softly, Naruto stood in front of Hinata, pulling his sword out from its sheath before turning to her. To be honest, he couldn’t leave her alone, there was no way of knowing what would happen if he did…

He had only one option, it wasn’t much use to him at the moment but right now, he wasn’t going to complain about it. Giving her a gentle smile, the young man pulled off his necklace as he said “here, take this Hinata, it should keep you safe from anything that would harm you.” With that said, he narrowed his eyes as he turned to stare at Kabuto as he said “you and me… swords...”

Kabuto smirked, it seemed that he was pleased with the idea of them sword fighting. After all, Naruto was someone that mostly fought with his fists, so there was no chance that he would know how to fight with swords in the first place. With that thought in mind, Kabuto pulled out his own sword as he got ready to attack. Sadly though, Kabuto wasn’t as skilled with a sword like Naruto or Sasuke are… After all, they had spent years training, Kabuto only had perhaps a few weeks at the most…

Breathing deeply, Naruto held out his sword before rushing towards Kabuto and kicked him in the stomach, wanting to send him further from Hinata. The last thing he wanted was to have Hinata hurt because he was still far too close to her… Growling, Naruto jumped again when he saw that Kabuto had collected himself and went to strike the fox demon with a sword. The attack of course had missed, only making contact with the ground, cracking it…

“Ha, take that fucker! You missed!” shouted Naruto before he rushed forward and smacked Kabuto with the flat side of the sword. The young man was many things, a demon, and a monster of sorts… but, he was no killer. He would never kill anyone so long as he could help it. After all, he may have been a villain but he was no killer and for that he was thankful. When he had thought that he killed Night Hawk, he had thought he’d be happy but really, he felt ashamed and slight guilt.

Looking up, he yelped in shock when he felt Kabuto had stabbed the fox demon in the stomach. He winced from the pain before holding out his hand and shot out a wind blade, which at point blank range, would easily hit the any without any trouble.

Breathing deeply, Naruto knew that the silver should have affected him but it wasn’t. Had it gained some kind of immunity like what Sasuke had, or was it still far too soon for that to take place? He had no idea, right now though he was going to have to deal with this. Inhaling softly, Naruto made his way over towards Kabuto and swung his sword. Kabuto screamed out in pain as he felt the sword slice his face. He growled then kicked Naruto in his wounded stomach, causing him to scream as he flew across the area.

Damn it all, how was it that this could still hurt? Then again, it didn’t hurt as much as it would had he been in the old amount of power that he had. Now, he was strong enough to withstand most of the damage that his body was have. Kabuto turned and glared his hateful eyes at the fox demon, it was easy to see that he hated the fox demon even more than he did before, for that he hated the idea that someone could hate him this much, though maybe Kabuto’s hate was more for the fact that Hinata had no feelings for him whatsoever…

“Come on Kabuto, try to beat me.” Smirked Naruto with a slight chuckle in his throat. This was still going to be interesting, though he would have to be careful or have a good chance to have some kind of decent fight, though on the other hand he also hoped that the fight wouldn’t cause too much destruction to the city that was something he didn’t want for anyone.

“I’ll do more than beat you! I’ll fucking kill you!” shouted Kabuto before rushing toward the fox demon. Oh this was going to be fun. Though, Naruto knew that this was going to be rather difficult for him to do but at the moment, he wasn’t going to complain about it. Right now, he just had to make him lose some energy so it would make it easier for the young man to defeat the crazy psycho. The thought of letting this guy win? Well… there was no way of knowing what could happen but he didn’t want to think about it.

Narrowing his now burning crimson eyes, the young man watched as Kabuto rushed forward, hoping to hit him. It was easy to see that he wanted to kill the fox even more than ever. Right now though, Naruto knew that he would have to be careful, Kabuto was mad with power, and sometimes those mad with that kind of power would be unstable, and therefore, be very dangerous… he would have to be very careful if he was going to fight Kabuto.

Kabuto narrowed his eyes as he said “you would never understand what it’s like to be in love! Hinata is someone that will be mine and mine alone! She belongs to me!” He shouted the last part, swinging the sword blindly with no real tact to kill this time. He just wanted to hack him up it seemed, for Kabuto it just meant another way to kill the young man. He must have truly lost what little sanity he had left, for that Naruto knew that this was going to be rather difficult for him to deal with. Not to mention, Kabuto truly believed that he loved Hinata? What he said… was nothing compared to what love is.

Closing his eyes, the young fox demon let out a soft chuckle as he said “oh, I know all about love.” Opening his eyes, Naruto’s eyes now shined a bright blue as he thought about Hinata. How much she meant to him, something that always meant the world to him, no, she was his world. “Love is something that makes you feel so alive. Your heart beats quickly at the thought of them. You want to be near them, to make them happy and you would do anything to protecting them.” Narrowing his eyes, Naruto added “you want them to be happy, and you would never try to control them!” Soon, he swung around and kicked Kabuto in the ribs. “What you feel about for Hinata is not love it is obsession!”

Kabuto growled after pushing himself up from rolling on the ground. It seemed that Naruto’s words had hurt him a great deal, though for now Naruto would have to make sure that he takes down Kabuto before it’s too late. After all, there is no way of knowing what would happen if he wasn’t careful. Inhaling softly, Naruto’s started to glow their deep crimson once again before rushing toward Kabuto, he would have to subdue him before it was too late.

After all, if this didn’t work, Kurama would at least be able to get the Defuser Gun from the car when he was able to use the tracker device… ’I can’t believe I forgot about the tracker…’ he thought to himself before letting out a soft sigh. Not to mention, he was thankful that Kurama had brought it up of the possibility of it not working.

Kabuto rushed once again and started to swing his sword again. Naruto though, just blocked all of the strikes with his sword, it was nice to see that Kabuto could still put some strength into his attacks but right now, his strikes with a sword were nothing. Soon, Naruto’s sword started to glow a soft blue and yellow. The colours were not mixing but dancing across the blade, causing Naruto to stare at it in confusion. “What the…?”

Soon, the young man felt something soft and warm going through the sword and into his body. His eyes taking on a softness that he wasn’t aware of. It felt like someone was trying to comfort him… protect him… what was going on…?

Naruto…

Eyes widening, Naruto just stared at his sword in shock, not sure who said that but… there was something going on. Soon, he felt two sets of arms wrapping around his body, it seemed that the world faded from him and there was no one left but himself… and those that were holding onto him. Turning his head, he saw two people, a man, that looked so much like him though with two locks of blonde hair framing his face… he had fox ears as well…

Next to him, was a woman with long red hair and kind eyes. She had the same face as him… Naruto… There was that voice again… it was… it was coming from the woman. Oh Naruto, we are so proud of you. We never thought that you would learn the true meaning of love… the true meaning of your power. Fox demons… their power comes from love, comes from the love they feel toward the one they have chosen.

We want you to know Naruto, even though we are gone from this world, our realm… we will always be proud of you, for you are our son… and we always knew you were destined for greatness. To be honest, he didn’t think that he would ever meet his parents… He had always thought, that the only image of them would have been a part of the memories that he could not tap into. What could he do though? He needed more than just fire and wind to beat Kabuto… After all, he couldn’t control water or ice or anything like that.

Within the sword that is made from our blood Naruto, is our power… The power of the element that your mother and I, can control are now within your sword. You can harness the elements of water and lightning… All you have to do, is to choose to use them or not. Naruto stared at the spirits of his parents, he wasn’t sure if they could even hear him, but what he knew, was that now he knew what they had said to him before they died. That he was destined for greatness…

Closing his eyes, a few tears rolled down his face as Naruto whispered “I love you both… thank you… mom… dad…”

With those words said, Naruto found himself back in the real world, it had seemed that while he was listening to his parents, that the time in the real world had merely slowed down into almost nothing for Kabuto was only a few inches from him… Pointing his sword at the white haired man, Naruto focused on the one element that he figured would surprise Kabuto… “Water!” shouted Naruto as water shot out of the blade, splashing Kabuto with force and causing him to roll onto the ground.

“Lightning!” shouted the fox as he jammed the blade into the ground, causing a jolt to go through the water, allowing it to act as a conductor for the fox demon so Kabuto would be taken down. Damn, this was starting to get better and better as he is learning more and more of his power and of the sword that his parents gave him. Smirking, he rushed forward, wanting to pin Kabuto to the ground before he could get away… Though, what he wasn’t expecting, was for Kabuto to shoot up into the sky glaring at him.

“You stupid son of a bitch!” shouted Kabuto.

“My mother is a fox, not a dog… and people thought I was an idiot.” Naruto blandly said.

“I don’t give two shits! You’ll die here and now!” he shouted before holding his hands up and a ball of fire started to form… only for it to start growing. Did he really think? God this guy is stupid… Smirking, a bit, Kabuto allowed the fire ball to grow to the size of a bus, maybe a few dozen inches bigger. How was it that Kabuto didn’t get it that the fox was immune to fire?

Shaking his head, Naruto saw Kabuto hurling the fire ball at the fox demon. Rubbing his face, the young man held up his sword as he narrowed his eyes, the sword glowing purely blue as it started to focus on only the water element. Smirking a bit, Naruto created his own ball, though unlike Kabuto it was water… Once the water ball was created, Naruto’s sword turned yellow, and he allowed it to be electrically charged it. “Eat this!” shouted Naruto as he threw the ball toward Kabuto’s.

The water ball, of course merely absorbed the fire ball, causing Kabuto to curse to himself, not sure what he could do about this. Though what Kabuto had failed to notice, was that the water ball was still heading towards him… As soon as it hit him, Kabuto screamed in pain as he felt the electricity coursing through his body, causing him to scream all the more and have spasms as he tried to control his body…

Before he knew it, Kabuto fell to the ground, his body still having slight spasms though was not moving other than that. Making his way toward the down white haired man, Naruto stepped on Kabuto’s shoulder causing him to smirk a bit. “So Kabuto… you lost.”

“Kill… me…” he whispered.

“I’m sorry Kabuto, but I’m not a killer…” Turning his head, Naruto saw Kurama running toward the two, then threw the gun at Naruto. Of course, the fox’s fast reflexes caused him to catch it with ease. Smiling happily, Naruto jammed the gun into Kabuto’s nose as he said “though, I will take those powers back thank you.” With that, he pulled the trigger, Kabuto’s screams echoed through the area as a bright light had formed around Kabuto… and watched as it slowly dimmed into nothing. Kabuto had returned to normal

“Naruto!” shouted Hinata.

Naruto turned and smiled gently as he watched Hinata rushing to him. Her arms wide, it seemed like she was going to hug him… Before he knew it, Hinata jumped into the air, tackling the fox demon to the ground. “Ah!” yelped Naruto before he started to laugh and held onto Hinata as close as he could. He couldn’t believe it to be honest, here he was, holding the woman of his dreams, the only woman that he could ever love… Letting out a soft sigh, he looked at Hinata as she laid her head on his chest.

“You won Naruto…” Hinata whispered softly.

“That is because I finally had a reason to win Hinata.” Naruto said softly, causing the blue haired woman to look up. Her eyes blinking in confusion as she wondered what it was that he was talking about that could have helped him to win. “That was you Hinata… you, are the reason for me to win.” With that, the two shared their moment of joy, with a simple yet love filled kiss.
